UAE Embassy and TADAP to Host First International Date Festival in Pakistan

Event Aims to Boost Pakistani Date Exports and Strengthen Economic Ties

Karachi: The UAE Embassy and TADAP Chief Executive Zubair Motiwala have officially signed an agreement to organize the inaugural International Date Festival in Pakistan, set to take place on October, 2024.

The signing ceremony was attended by UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Alzaabi and Consul General in Karachi Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi, who emphasized the festival’s potential to enhance the export of Pakistani dates and improve the country’s economic conditions.

Dr. Alremeithi stated, “This unique festival will attract participation from countries worldwide, fostering stronger economic relations between the UAE and Pakistan. It will also offer a significant opportunity to promote date production and showcase various types of dates and their cultivation techniques.” Entrepreneurs from across the region are expected to participate, sharing their expertise and innovations in date production during this landmark event.
