Karachi: The Sindh government has announced the launch of a free air ambulance service in partnership with the Local Government Council Association. Provincial Ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Saeed Ghani expressed their satisfaction that this service fulfills the vision of their party chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The agreement between the Sindh Local Council Association and the aircraft company ASSL will ensure the provision of air ambulance facilities to the people of the province. This service aims to address the challenges faced in transporting patients from remote areas like Ghotki, Sukkur, and Khairpur to Karachi for medical care.
Minister Saeed Ghani stated that the air ambulance project is a significant achievement, as it will allow for the swift transfer of patients from these distant cities to Karachi. Minister Syed Nasir Shah further elaborated that the service will also be extended to Hyderabad, Thar, Nawabshah, and Larkana.
The chairman of the Local Council Association Sindh, Syed Kamil Haider Shah, expressed that the air ambulance service will save lives by enabling the transportation of patients from South Punjab and North Sindh to Karachi. The CEO of Airlift Sales and Services, Akbar Jafri, highlighted that the contracted aircraft will be equipped with essential medical equipment and personnel to provide comprehensive care during patient transfers.
