Sindh Government Launches IT Training Program for 10,000 Youth, Expanding to 100,000

Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah Highlights Opportunities in Technology at ITCN Asia 2024

Karachi — Provincial Minister for Energy, Development, and Planning Sindh, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, announced the initiation of an IT training program aimed at empowering 10,000 youth, with plans to expand the initiative to 100,000 participants. This program is designed to equip young individuals with the latest IT skills and provide them with their first employment opportunities.

Minister Shah made these remarks while visiting the 25th ITCN Asia 2024 International IT & Telecom Show at the Expo Center Karachi. He praised the event as a significant beacon of hope for the youth amid the spread of negative narratives. “This exhibition is not just a ray of hope; it is the sun of hope,” he asserted.

Over 25,000 attendees, including youth and business professionals, have participated in the exhibition, which features renowned local and international institutions, including notable participants from Iran, Saudi Arabia, China, Turkey, and Australia. Major companies like Huawei, Google Cloud, Odoo, and TP-Link are also showcasing their innovations.

Minister Shah expressed confidence in the talent of Pakistani youth, stating, “The future of Pakistan is bright.” He emphasized the Sindh government’s commitment to modern IT training, backed by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, and assured attendees of ongoing support from the government. Addressing concerns about networking issues in the country, he acknowledged that while connectivity challenges exist globally, the Sindh government is dedicated to resolving them. Visitors to the exhibition included many young people excited to engage with the minister, who commended their skills and encouraged their innovative pursuits.
