Top Cyclists Shine in Tour de Lahore and Renala Khurd to Okara Events
The Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with cycle races held in Lahore and Okara, attracting top cyclists from across the country.
In the Tour de Lahore event covering a distance of 20 km, Sana Ullah of HEC emerged victorious, finishing the race in 30 minutes and 21 seconds. M Farooq of HEC claimed second place, while Awais from WAPDA came in third. A total of 52 cyclists participated in this race.
The second race, held from Renala Khurd to Okara over a 25 km distance, was won by Sajid Zai from Punjab. Sana Ullah of HEC secured second place, and Awais from WAPDA finished third. This event was organized by the Punjab Cycling Association.
At the closing ceremony, Major General Naik Nam Baig, the GOC Okara, was the chief guest and distributed cash awards to the winners. Mr. Mozam Khan Kalair also attended as a guest of honor.
The races were officiated by a panel of judges led by Mr. Qasir Bhatti, including Shahzada Butt, Noman Ali, Abdur Aziz, Sakhawat Ali, and Haider Ali. Mr. Amjad Khan served as the coordinator for these Independence Day cycling events
